Itinerary

Cuba map

Day 1: Arrival

You arrive at Havana’s internat. Airport José Marti. Optional transfer to your hotel. Accommodation at Aparthotel Comodoro.

Day 2: Habana Vieja

After breakfast, your tour guide will accompany you in the transfer to the dance academy “ritmo cubano” for your first dancing lesson at 9 am. You will get to know your professional Cuban dancing partner. Together with qualified teacher they will introduce you into the world of Cuban music and rhythms. After the classes we leave for a guided tour through Old Havana with its historic centre: the beautiful  "La Habana Vieja". We also stop for a tour at the Rum Museum of Havana Club. Lunch takes place in a typical Cuban restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the community project Casa del Tango.
(breakfast, lunch)

Day 3: Cemetery Cristobal Colon

Once you have finished your dancing lessons in the morning, your tour guide will take you to the Cemetery Cristobal Colon considered by its extension one of the largest in the world. There you will discover a unique variety of sculptural and architectural exponents erected for more than a century with an amazing diversity of styles. A visit to the Plaza de la Revolución will take place this afternoon, symbol of the Cuban revolution and, since 1959, scene of relevant events and demonstrations. You will return to the hotel and the evening is free at your disposal.
(breakfast)

Day 4: Playas del Este

After breakfast and a 90 minutes dancing lesson in the morning we leave for the east of Havana and after a 30 minutes trip, we reach tropical beaches located in this area. With more than 10km of white sandy beaches you can relax and swim in the crystal-clear waters for the rest of the day. The evening is again at leisure.
(breakfast)

Day 5: Cabaret Parisien

You will start the day again with the hot salsa lesson. You can use the rest of the morning and afternoon exploring Cuba on your own by e.g. visiting a museum or rum factory in town, or just relaxing at the hotel’s pool. In the evening we leave for a live musical show, Cabaret Parisien, with its variety of musical performances at the Hotel Nacional.
(breakfast, dinner)

Day 6: Casa de la Música Farewell Dinner

Today will be the last day of your dancing course. In the afternoon you will get the chance to find out how much you have learned during your salsa lessons: apply the salsa theory into practice in the Casa de la Múscia with live Cuban Salsa band. In the evening we join a special farewell dinner in the restaurant La Floridiana. A cocktail will be offered in the piano bar afterwards to celebrate our great holiday in Cuba and prepare ourselves for departure.
(breakfast, dinner)

Day 7: Adiós Cuba!

The morning is at your disposal and you can use it to do sightseeing around Havana or shop for last gifts and souvenirs from Cuba. In the afternoon, we will visit the Patio de la Rumba, the center of the "Conjunto Folklorico Nacional" - a folkloristic national dance organization. Here, you will be treated to a special live show: Afro-Cuban music. You are more than welcome to join in! Later you may depart for your flight back home or you continue with your own holiday arrangements in Cuba.
