Day 1: Arrival in Havana
Arrival at the airport Jose Martí, Havana. Transfer to the hotel Plaza or similar. You spend the
evening at your own disposal.
Day 2:
Sightseeing in Old Havana – the historical centre of the city, where you can see wonderful squares,
museums and streets. After the initial orientation in the city you can visit the Rum Museum of
Havana Club and take a lovely walk to Plaza Vieja, one of the oldest squares in Latin America. For
lunch you may indulge in a meal of delicious local dishes at one of the characteristic restaurants in
the city centre. Overnight at hotel Plaza or similar.

Day 3:
After check‐out, you will be taken to the region Pinar del Río. There you will visit a West Cuban city
of the same name, which is famous for the best tobacco in the world. During your guided tour
through the tobacco factory you will witness the process of the making of the cigars. After then you
will go on to Viñales. First you will see the local places of importance, tobacco plantations and
characteristic hilly landscape (magotes), then you will be offered a lunch in a typical local restaurant.
In the afternoon the tour will continue to Rancho San Vicente, where you can enjoy the peaceful and
harmonious atmosphere of the country‐side and take a swim in the hotel’s pool.

Day 4:
For this day we have planned an excursion to the beaches of Cayo Jutías. Cayo Jutías is a small island
on the North coast, connected to the mainland by a bridge. There you will have the chance to relax
on the beautiful Caribbean beach with crystal‐clear turquoise water. You will also have your lunch
there. In the afternoon, you can enjoy the fantastic scenery of the Cuban West coast on your way
back to the hotel Rancho San Vicente.

Day 5:
After breakfast in the hotel you will set off to Las Terrazas.
There you will be taken on a sightseeing tour through the community and enchanting Sierra de
Rosario, the first Cuban biosphere reserve recognized by UNESCO. The community development
project offers you a glimpse into the typical handicraft and artist workshops or to visit the ruins of
Cafetales Franceses, a French coffee plantation from the 18th century. After, you will be served lunch
in a typical local restaurant. In the afternoon you can relax by the crystal‐clear waters of Rio San Juan
or visit the orchid garden of Soroa. You stay overnight in Villa Soroa.

Day 6:
Excursion to Río Canimar, where you can go for a boat or paddle ride on the fascinating and slowmoving
river, or horse riding. Your lunch will be served at La Arboleda restaurant situated 11 km up
the stream. The journey back will first lead you to the jetty, where a transfer to Varadero to the Villa
Tortuga will await you.

Day 7: Departure
You can spend this day at your leisure relaxing on a beautiful Caribbean beach, for example.
Afterwards transfer to the airport of Havana in time for your flight back home, or to your next hotel
in Havana.
