Terms and Conditions

Minimum rental period: 3 days

Minimum age: 21 years for car groups A, B, C, D, E, G, K and M. National driver's license must be at least 2 years old. 25 years for all other car groups. National driver's license must be at least 1 year old.

Second driver: An additional application is possible for a second driver, the cost of which is directly paid when renting. (1-14 rental days: € 6.00 per day / per month: € 90.00 (15-30 rental days))

Driving License: National license must be at least 1 year old (Attention minimum age)

Registration fee: € 1.73 per day for a total maximum of 18 rental to be paid on site

Adoption of the vehicle: The AVIS rental car company is at the airport Lamezia Terme (from 8:00-23:00). Rentals after 23:00 clock are only possible on request and a fee (€ 51.65 + VAT). On weekends, delivery to your hotel upon request and at an extra charge is also available (usually around € 22.00, - per transfer). Please advise the exact time of acceptance and delivery when booking, as well as the takeover of the car. The rental begins from the date of acquisition of the car!
If you rent the car at the Lamezia Terme Airport, but want to return it at a different Avis station additional fees will be incurred (in Calabria: min. € 45.00 + VAT - borrow / return in Calabria / Sicily: min. € 65,00 + VAT)!

Insurance: Comprehensive insurance and theft insurance are included in the price. The deductible is € 850.00 for car groups A, B, C, D, E, I, J and N. However for all other car groups, € 1,300.00. Through the conclusion of the supplementary insurance, which can be completed at place of rental, any Deductibes can be excluded (comprehensive accidental damage insurance, Class A / B / C:. € 19.70 + VAT per day. Classes D / E / I / J / N: € 20.00 + VAT per day. Classes L / H / M / N / O / P:. € 23,00 + VAT per day).

Deposit: the spot is by credit card a deposit equal to the excess cost to be deposited (alternatively: completion of comprehensive accidental damage insurance). Your credit card will only damage the concrete or other non-compliance of the rental charge. We accept American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa or Avis Charge Card Air Travel Card.

General conditions for car rentals without a credit card:
We generally recommend renting only to credit card holders! The card must be in the name of the registered driver. If you do not have a credit card or have forgotten it, you would have make a deposit for the deductible amounts on the spot in cash or alternatively complete the above-mentioned comprehensive accidental damage insurance for the entire rental period.

Condition of Car: All of the company AVIS cars are more than 2 years old and regularly maintained.

Accident / event of damage: Please immediately notify your Avis station. An accident / damage report is located at the glove compartment and must be completed in every case. The Information of those involved in the accident are of particular importance. All cars are equipped with a yellow visibility vest.

Automatic: Available in the car classes H, I and J. Automatic are only on request and must be confirmed separately.

VAT: The VAT is currently 23% in Italy.
