Agriturismo Torre del Golfo offers the ideal mix of rural nature and beach life. It is located near the Ionian coast of Calabria, 60 km from the airport of Lamezia Terme, in the midst of a 40-acre lemon grove, yet only 200 meters from the beach.

What the Agriturismo offers:
As part of Colosimo Farm, Agriturismo Torre del Golfo is from restoration of the old stables from the 9th Century. Therefor, the agriturismo's history looks back several centuries and the owner's (the Colosimo family) has followed the family traditions reflecting the culture of the ancient Calabrian peasant life, and have preserved them over the centuries. Among the biological products of the Colosimo farm are citrus fruits, olive oil, honey, asparagus, tomatoes and other vegetables. Depending on the season, the different manufacturing processes can be observed. On the farm itself, trips to wineries and oil in the region can be taken.

Room Facilities :
The farm has several accommodation options:
Double - and single rooms with bath / shower, WC;
2-bedroom apartments: equipped with Living room-/Kitchen on the ground floor and bedroom and bathroom in the 1st Floor / sea view; another 2-bedroom apartment on the ground floor.
Both apartments have a terrace.
3-room apartments: equipped with living room-/Kitchen and terrace with sea view on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms with a bathroom in the 1st Floor.
All apartments have air conditioning, in winter they are all heated.

Dining:

There is a garden with a gazebo and tables, where the guests can dine. The Torre del Golfo offers a hearty breakfast, served in the pavilion in the garden. For other meals, there is a special agreement with the restaurant Tonino in the city. Here guests receive a 10% discount. The restaurant is known for their excellent fish dishes. Furthermore, once a week in Torre del Golfo, a barbecue with typical Calabrian dishes is organized, inclusive of drinks will cost about 12.50 Euro. Besides the farm productions, the family is glad to introduce their guests to the flavours of typical Calabrian products such as Cirò and Lamezia wines, honey, pecorino and ricotta cheeses, jams, sweets.

Sports and Entertainment:

The beautiful, white sand beach has a private entrance from the farm, reachable with a few minutes walk, through the citrus plantation. This is ideal for children, and the beach is never crowed. Here you can relax and enjoy wonderful views over the magnificent Golfo di Squillace. In direct proximity to the farm, you can also go horse back riding, play beach volleyball or take mountain biking trips. Also, tennis, soccer and golf courses are within easy reach in the surrounding area. The number of possible activities is large. There is an unforgettable excursion to the Parco Nazionale della Calabria in the Sila or Camigliatello. The picturesque town of Rossano invites you for a visit! You can find the famous Diocesan Museum, the ancient monastery complex of Santa Maria del Partir and the Church of San Marco, a jewel of Byzantine art can be viewed. The capital city of Calabria, Catanzaro is located in close proximity. It has many testimonies of its thousand-year history.
