Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cancún
Arrival in Cancun and transfer to your hotel in Cancun. Accommodation at the Hotel QBay.
Day 2:Cancún - Isla Mujeres - Cancún (approx. 32 km)
After breakfast and a test “ride” of your bikes, you’ll cycle to the ferry station and enjoy your crossing to Isla Mujeres. At first, you’ll cycle around the island before you snorkel to the world’s second largest reef and then make your way back to the ferry terminal to Cancún and finally to your hotel. Accommodation at the Hotel QBay.
Day 3: Tulúm - Sian ka'an - Tulúm (approx. 35 km)
By minivan, you will be transferred to Tulúm. From Tulúm you will cycle to Sian Ka’an. From a 15 meter high outlook, you will enjoy a magnificent view over the nature protection reserve. During a canoe trip through the reserve, you will be able to observe many domestic animals. In the afternoon, you will cycle to Hotel Los Lirios, which is located close to Tulúm and directly by the Caribbean Sea. Accommodation at the Hotel QBay.
Day 4: Tulúm - Cobá (approx. 41 km)
Today a longer bike tour will be waiting for you: you’ll cycle to Cobá. On the way, you will stop at the Gran Cenote to take a refreshing bath in the crystal clear water. In the afternoon you will be visiting the archaeological sight of Cobá. During the late classical époque, it was probably the centre of Mayan culture in the northeast of the Yucatán-Peninsula. Accommodation at the Villas Arqueológicas Cobá.
Day 5: Cobá - Valladolid (approx. 77 km)
Today you will be cycling from Cobá to the colonial city of Valladolid. On your way off the beaten track, you will pass by many Mayan villages. In the afternoon a guided city tour will take place where you will visit the museum of Valladolid, its church and surroundings of the city, all while observing beautiful wall paintings. Accommodation at the Hotel Maria de la Luz.
Day 6: Valladolid - Chichén Itzá (approx. 73 km)
After breakfast you will be cycling from the colonial city of Valladolid to Chichén Itzá. This archaeological site was declared by UNESCO a world cultural heritage sight. It is Yucatan’s most popular and visited pyramid. You will have enough time to explore all of the complex sites. At night you can enjoy the spectacular sound and light show.Accommodation at the Hotel Dolores Alba Chichén Itzá.
Day 7: Tulúm - Xcaret - Playa del Carmen
By bus, you will return to Tulúm today, where you will visit the archaeological sites before you continue driving to Playa del Carmen, where you can enjoy the Caribbean Sea. Accommodation at the Hotel Playa del Carmen by H-n-A.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer to Cancún International Airport or possibility to continue your trip individually.
