Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Cancun International Airport and a drive to Playa del Carmen. Accommodation in hotel Fiesta Bananas or something similar.
Day 2: Playa del Carmen
We begin the day with introduction carried out by our staff, that will hand over your travel documents, certificates and tickets they will also answer any questions you might have about Mexico. On this day you will have an opportunity to explore this wonderful city. Accommodation in hotel Fiesta Bananas.
Day 3: Playa del Carmen - Ek Balam - Chichen Itza - Ditznup - Valladolid
Early in the morning you pick up your rental car and your journey through Yucatan will begin. You will have an opportunity to drive from Playa del Carmen to Valladolid and visit Chichen Itza on the way. Then we will experience Ek Balama, the sensation of the recent years. Afterwards you can swim in the crystal clear water of Dzitnup cenote. Hotel in Valladolid María del la Luz or something similar.
Day 4: Valladolid - Izamal - Merida
From Valladolid we are driving through Izamal- also known as the yellow city, since almost all of the buildings there are painted yellow. You will also visit a catholic church built over the highest Mayan temple, and then continue on your way to Merida. Accommodation in Hotel Caribe Mérida or something similar.
Day 5: Merida
Merida city tour; you will have a chance to admire the beautiful colonial architecture, the famous Paseo Montejo with many significant monuments as well as the large market where you can experience the typical life of Mexicans. Accommodation in hotel Caribe or something similar.
Day 6: Uxmal - Edzna - Campeche
These archeological sites are known for their sophisticated architecture. In the ancient Mayan language Uxmal means "three times established". Uxmal was one of the greatest and most significant cities on the Yucatan peninsula. In Edzna you will visit "the palace of five stories", a unique building of the Mayan world. You will spend the night in Campeche, another jewel of the colonial period. It was established by the Spaniards in 1540 and later became a very important port town. Accommodation in hotel López or something similar.
Day 7: Campeche - Palenque
Early in the morning we are going further to Palenque, where we will have a siesta in the swimming pool of our hotel. Afterwards we will discover the Mayan ruins that are not crowded by numerous tourists. The temple of engraving, the palace and the complex of the crucifix temple make this visit unique. Accommodation in hotel Villas Kin Ha.
Day 8: Palenque - Cascadas de Agua Azul - Misol Ha - Palenque
Today you will be inspired by the natural beauty of two big waterfalls Misol Ha and Cascadas de Agua Azul. You will stay another night in Palenque. Accommodation in hotel Villas Kin Ha.
Day 9: Tecan - Chicana - Xpujil
Today you will visit three further Maya sites that represent "Rio Bec" architectural style. It is very different from the rest of architecture we have visited before. Double pyramids, large piazzas and fortresses in the shape of a protective wall with the drainage canal around the city. Accommodation in hotel Debliz Xpujil
Day 10: Kohunlich - Laguna Bacalar
The original name of the archeological site of Kohunlich is not known. In English it is called "Cohume Ridge"- hill covered with cobrush. An archeologist Victor Segovia, who discovered and explored this site, named it Kohunlich. From Kohunlich we continue to Laguna de Bacalar, where we can enjoy an amazing view of the lagoon in the sunset from our hotel.

Day 11: Bacalar
Today you can either take a boat ride in the lagoon or simply swim in the clear water. Accommodation in hotel Laguna.
Day 12: Bacalar - Tulum - Playa del Carmen
On your way to Playa del Carmen we advise you a stopover in Tulum. In the Mayan language Tulum means "wall or fence". Three sides of this site are surrounded by a fortress, the fourth one is protected by an impressive cliff facing the Caribbean Sea. Due to its location it is also sometimes called "Zama" (sunset) and its spectacular. Then you are driving back to Playa del Carmen where you can return your rental car. Day 13: Departure
Today you can either return to the airport or continue your journey.
