Day 1: Arrival in Mexico City

Arrival and transfer to your hotel in the city center. Accommodation at the Hotel Monte Real.

Day 2: Mexico City

oday you’ll have time to explore the fascinating mega city, Mexico City, on your own. Stroll along the famous "Zócalo" and visit the impressive cathedral. You shouldn’t miss the anthropological museum in order to get further insight into the sophisticated Mexican culture. Accommodation at the Hotel Monte Real.

Day 3: Mexico City - Puebla

In the morning, you’ll be given the option to participate in the excursion to the pyramid of Teotihuancan, which is one of the country’s most important archaeological sites of the Aztecs and Toltecs. Late in the afternoon, you will be driving through impressive volcanic landscape to the city of Puebla. Accommodation at the Hostal del Arcangel.

Day 4: Puebla

The old colonial city of Puebla has more than 100 churches, partly pompously garnished. Use the day to discover the city highlights such as the cathedral near the "Zócalo", the second biggest in all of Mexico. Don’t miss the city’s culinary specialty - "Mole". Overnight stay at the Hostal del Arcangel.

Day 5: Puebla - Oaxaca

First activity of the morning will be a visit to Cholula. This is where the highest pyramid in Mexico is situated with a church at the top, which was built during the colonial era. You’ll travel through this stunning area from Sierra Madre to Oaxaca. Overnight stay at the Hotel Camba.

Day 6: Oaxaca - Monte Albán - Mitla

In the early morning, you will be off to the Zapotec city Monte Albán, which was established more than 2000 years ago on a mountain above Oaxaca. Moreover, we will take a look at the fascinating and highly symbolic excavation site of Mitla, which is decorated with beautiful mosaics. Accommodation at the Hotel Camba.

Day 7: Oaxaca - San Cristóbal de las Casas

Enjoy the ride to San Cristóbal to the highlands of Chiapas, along the Sumerido-Canyon. During the boat ride (optional) through a canyon, you’ll be able to see some astonishing natural beauty like great waterfalls with their steeply towering walls, as well as indigenous birds. Accommodation at the Hotel Casa Vieja.

Day 8: San Cristóbal de las Casas

Today, you can explore San Cristóbal according to your own preferences. Stroll through the picturesque colonial city with a very high percentage of indigenous people. We highly recommend that you pass by the indigenous village of Chamula. You will be amazed by the colorful markets. Accommodation at the Hotel Casa Vieja.

Day 9: San Cristóbal - Palenque

You’ll leave the highlands of Chiapas and keep going through the jungle. Enjoy the ride with a constantly changing landscape. On your way, you will stop by the fascinating waterfalls of Agua Azul. A refreshing bath is more than worthwhile! Accommodation at the Hotel Villas Kin-Ha.

Day 10: Palenque - Campeche

Palenque belongs to one of the most fascinating archaeological sites. Especially enchanting to visitors is the jungle setting of this Mayan city. In the afternoon, there will be ongoing transfer to Campeche. Accommodation at the Hotel Plaza Campeche.

Day 11: Campeche - Mérida

After a walk through the alleyways of Campeche, you will leave the city in order to join a rather long drive to Yucatán’s capital: Mérida. On the way, you will stop by Uxmal, a Mayan sight of the regional Puuc-style. Accommodation at the Hotel Caribe

Day 12: Mérida

You’ll be able to enjoy some free time today in the “white city“. You can take this opportunity to discover colorful Mérida or join an excursion into the national park of Celestún, known for its numerous flamingos, which can be perfectly observed during a boot or canoe trip and walk (optional). Accommodation at the Hotel Caribe.

Day 13: Mérida - Chichén Itzá - Tulúm

The most popular of all Mayan sites - Chichén Itzá - is on the program for today. It is the highlight of any Mexico tour with the excavation of the Kukulkán temple and the huge Pelota-arena, which finally classified the site as being one of the new wonders of the world even though it has been recognized as a world cultural heritage site for quite some time. Before arriving at the beautiful Caribbean coast of Tulúm, you can enjoy a refreshing bath in the “Gran Cenote“. Accommodation at the Cabañas Zahra.

Day 14: Tulúm

At the end of your round trip, you’ll be able to enjoy a day at the beach with crystal clear water or simply relaxing in the shadows of the palm trees. Additionally, a visit to the “Zona Archaeológica“ of Tulúm is highly recommendable, it is especially attractive due to its location directly on the Caribbean coast. This archaeological site is known as the most photographed Maya city, ever. Accommodation at the Cabañas Zahra.

Day 15: Tulúm - Cancún Airport

Transfer to Cancún International Airport or the option to continue to your individual beach holiday extension.
